Yes, as the question asks.
Just about how much, an average price
thanks =)
I do it myself, and stringing an instrument is not difficult to do. BUT, if you can’t, most music stores will do it for free as long as your purchase the strings. A good set of strings can go for over 100 dollars. The cheaper brands [like Red Label] go for about 15-20 dollars per set.
How much is it to tune and string a violin at a shop?
Where to buy violin made by Gauthier Louppe?
Louppe is a famous Luthier from Belgique, is anyone know hoe to buy his violin and cello from Canada?
Louppe’s violin is new style with new technology and I check his web site, he only speak french and he never return email. I need to know who distribute his violin in Canada.
His website is not very interactive, and is not well laid-out for locating distributors, at least to my limited French. He does list two addresses and telephone numbers by which to contact him, which follow, in hopes that you will be able to find someone to act as an intermediary in communicating for you.

I have an old painting I bought at an auction?
I love it It is of a beautiful darkhaired girl looking sad holding a music instument similar to a violin and the only marking is in the bottom right hand corner
molinet
Anyone have any idea how i can track down its origin?
If there’s an art museum or college with an art department near you, phone the curator and ask what reference books would be useful.
what will be the price of the violin made in 1721 and where can we auction or sell it?
You will need to have it appraised. It could be worth a lot or a little, depending on the maker and the condition. Try googling violin appraisers. Unless you live in a large city, you will have to ship it to the appraiser. It’s going to cost some money, but it will be worth it to know what you have.
Do not sell it on ebay. If it is worth a lot, it will need to be sold in a specialized musical instrument auction at a high end auction house like Sotheby’s.

I used to play for 5 yrs then finished school,,started working..you know started life..
BUT, I never forgot it..(I think about it everyday)

Hey ..any one from Austin or Dallas? = )
Sheet music is a hand-written or printed form of musical notation; like its analogs — books, pamphlets, etc. — the medium of sheet music typically is paper (or, in earlier times, parchment). Use of the term “sheet” is intended to differentiate music on paper from a recording, broadcast, or live performance, and more specifically usually refers to the print publication of commercial music alongside the release of a new film, show, record album, or other special event which involves music.

Where is the best place (auction) to sell original old precious violin? May I sell online ? Thanks?
First take it to one of the larger auction houses and get an expert valuation. I cannot say which as I do not know your country of origin. By just putting it on an online auction site it may sell for a trifle of it`s real value. Unfortunately even if it is old and precious to you it may have little commercial value so don`t build your hopes up till you get expert valuation. But I hope it is by a collectable maker and you get a fortune.
What is the difference in quality of a cheap violin and a more expensive one?
I know expensive violins can cost thousands of dollars, but a cheap one is only about $100. Is there a big difference in quality in these violins? I just want to start learning how to play and don’t need a very fancy one, but will the cheap one be very poor quality/ break easily?
A full adult size violin
There is definitely a difference in the quality of the sound between a really cheap and a more expensive one, but the violinist also determines how it will sound. They more important question to ask yourself when making this decision is to determine what you plan to do with the violin.
If your just starting and don’t know if you want to keep it up go for the cheaper…if you really start improving and want to get serious about go for a more expensive one.
That’s what I did.
When I went to purchase my current violin…not sure exactly of the price because it was a couple years ago…I went to a violin store – the name escapes me – in Philadelphia where the violins were assembled and restored on the premises and the man who owned it played in a series of prestigious orchestras…i tell you this because when making an investment like this you have to trust the person selling it to you. Not only did I try the violins but he had me turn around and listen to each as he played them before deciding. I also got to try several bows of varying weights. I tell you this because you should find a place like this because you will be most satisfied with your investment this way
How common are Sanctus Seraphin violin copies?
I recently picked up a violin at an auction which label reads "Sanctus Seraphin Utinanhs Venetijs Ann 17(Written 34)." The spelling errors were almost a dead giveaway that this violin is a copy-and the fact that it lacks his other trademarks also helped-but can anyone tell me how common a copy of his is and an estimate on how much it might be worth? My guess is that this violin was made in the 19th century or earlier, not sure if it is factory or handmade, and has a very resonant and open sound. Although, it does have a decent-sized chip on the edge, but I don’t think it is anything threatening to the instrument.
idk, but you should watch these, they could helpp you:
