cheap coloured violins?

on October 17, 2009

i will be buying a violin in the next few ewkks because i am going to be learning at school and please dont say that i should try it for a while before i buy one incase i dont wanna do it anymore. but my mum and i have talked about it and im going to stick with it. i wanted to get a coloured violin like pink or blue and i was wondering what colour is cheeper. thnx :-)
i only asked because some some colour varnishs and or paint colours are harder to make. like with cars if you want to paint your car black it cost more. but i am aware that black is a shade and not a colour

The colored violins are junk ("violin shaped objects") and I don’t recommend them. You also can’t use them in formal orchestra settings. But they are poor quality.

google "barcus berry". they have some very reasonably priced and gorgeous violins in a variety of colours, and have a great sound to them.

Both colors would be the same price. They would be more expensive than a regular colored violin though. I recommend looking in a pawn shop. I got my violin in excellent shape for forty-five bucks. You never know what you can find there.

I never knew they actually have colored violins like that, and I used to play them. Weird!
But what I do know is whatever you do, NEVER buy chinese violins. They are junk and they will fall apart very easily. Its best to get europeon violins, because they were made with much better material and they have better sound quality.
