When you paint the wood on a violin, it causes problems and makes it sound not so good. I’ve looked around on the good mail order sites and none of them offer painted violins. Electric violins that you plug into an amplifier come in many colors. They start at about $400 for just the instrument. The colored violins that cost under $100 are not going to work very well. The strings, bridge and pegs are going to break easily. I’ve seen a pink Barbie violin at Target for $60 that was obviously a piece of junk. How about a colored bow? Here’s one for $40 and you can pick your favorite color http://www.sharmusic.com/itemdy00.asp?t1=c203wbrn110n

All of the violin outfits at sharmusic.com are of decent quality, even the cheapest ones.
