i looking for a place thats sales violins but i cant spend a lot but also want it to be nice does anyone know where in maine i can buy a cheap but nice violin.

There’s no such thing as ‘cheap but nice’. A decent student violin that won’t get in the way of learning will run you about $300. That’s how much it costs to set it up correctly, put decent strings on it, and put decent pegs in that won’t slip. Cheap violins sound crappy and won’t stay in tune – you’ll just get frustrated. Try renting a violin for a few months first – you can usually rent a much nicer one than you could afford to buy. Find out what a good violin should feel like and sound like. And never buy one without playing it first!
If you can’t find a store nearby that rents violins, try this website. I bought mine from them, and it’s great. They also rent violins, and they have a trial period if you’re interested in buying. http://www.stringworks.com
