I want to buy a violin bow. my experience is intermediate level. i have then practicing with a private teacher since January. I know there are three kinds of woods that are used to make bows; Brazilian, pernambuco, and fiber material. i will be buying the bow from my violin teacher. she has a friend that makes the bows. anyway i saw some of the bows and they are really beautiful as well as pricey. i want to buy a pernambuco bow for $370 including tax. is that too much? currently i have a fiber bow. my difficulty in playing is that i have a jumpy bow. or a stiff wrist. i we were thinking a heavier bow can help me and a octagon shape bow.
