I have seen the same for bid/sale on ebay but was also a litho. It has two ladies, one at a piano, the other playing a violin at the foot of a staircase and a gazebo out of the french doors. I purchased it at an old store in Gibsland, LA in the early 70′s for $5.00. It has always intrigued me and my curiosity has begun to peak since I saw another on ebay. I have found out it can be worth ‘a few dollars more’ but I want to keep it and find out more about it and the man who painted it.

R. Brownell McGrew is well known as a painter of Navaho life. I assume you googled his name, but also check out websites that feature paintings of Navajo, and/or artists of the Southwest. I first learned of McGrew about 35 years ago from an old Arizona Highways magazine. He was featured in that magazine several times over the years. His paintings are gorgeous and charming. I wish I still had that magazine…..
