How much would it cost to purchase a bridge for a violin?

on September 29, 2009

Ok my violin bridge broke and I was wanting to know how much one would be. And once I get the bridge how would I get it placed back to where it needs to be? And if I have to take it somewhere how much would that cost?

You really can’t just buy a bridge and put it on; it has to be shaped for that particular instrument. It’s not that expensive. Of course, if you absolutely cannot afford to go to a luthier, see:

Not much to buy one. Im not sure if they are stuck on or just sit there, any wood craftsman or woodwork type person could fit it, people who make the instruments are called luthiers, maybe theres one near you or a violin teacher could help
