Does anyone know or have an idea how much it is to rent a cello or violin?
It depends on what type of cello or violin. But most rental places you’ll find they range from 20-40 dollars a month, with violin being more on the 20 side, and cello more on the 40 side. If you’re serious about your instrument, buying or rent-to-own might be a thriftier option in the long run.

I don’t know about cello; violin is going to be about $50 to $75 a month, I think.
I don’t think it’s smart to rent when you can buy a decent instrument at a few months rental. See:
